Ken Road, Ed.D, CMHC, has 20 years of experience helping families and individual clients work on issues such as family conflict, adolescent development, spiritual crises, anxiety and mood disorders, conflicts with identity and roles, drug and alcohol addiction, and unwanted behaviors (e.g., “excessive” pornography viewing).
Ken specializes in working with people who have experienced sexual violence and also people who identify as LGBTQ. Ken employs a sex positive approach in treatment and utilizes a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic practices for an individualized approach.
Ken volunteers time supporting the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA), the Salt Lake Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE), and the LGBTQ-Affirmative Psychotherapist Guild of Utah. He has also testified as an expert witness in sexual assault trials. Ken finds peace in nature, music, reading, and the arts.
